Two Questions Our Clients Always Ask

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY!

1. How much will it cost me to put my truck on the road?

We cannot tell you exactly what your total cost will be; however, we can give you a general idea based on past experience.

One (1) Power Unit (GVW 80,000 lbs)
FMCSA Authority, US DOT Number, BOC-3 (our cost to file) $549.00
Insurance down payment (approximately) $2,300.00
IRP Plate, 48 state (varies, depending on base state) $1,600.00
Fuel & Mileage tax permits, UCR (48 states except Oregon) $295.00
Total Individual quotes may vary $4,744.00

These prices will vary depending on your insurance down payment and the state which you are obtaining your IRP plate. We advise all clients to get a quote on your Liability Insurance prior to filing for authority. You must have a minimum of two (2) years CDL license and a good driving record to obtain insurance for a reasonable rate. This estimate is based on $1,000,000.00 Primary Liability, $100,000.00 Cargo and $50,000.00 Physical Damage. There are many factors that come into play when quoting insurance. Such as, radius, commodities transported, drivers MVR and CDL experience. This is only an estimate to help you understand the cost of obtaining your own authority.

2. How long will it take to get my FMCSA Authority?

Once we apply for your FMCSA Authority, it will be mandatory for you to obtain the required insurance and file proof of insurance with the commission to activate your number. If you bind and file the required insurance within 7 days after we file your application with the FMCSA, your authority will become active within two (2) to three (3) weeks. We will correspond directly with your Insurance Agent to make sure the proper filings are requested. Insurance must be filed with the FMCSA within 60 days after filing or your application will be dismissed. There are no refunds if your application is dismissed because of insurance not being on file.
