This is a new requirement that was implemented in September, 2007. The new program replaces the former SSR (Single State Registration). This program requires all motor carriers (with a gross weight of 10,000 lbs) or more to register with UCR.

This includes all motor carriers; those who transport regulated commodities, exempt commodities and private carriers are subject to the UCR program.

The fees are based on the number of power units and trailers in your fleet. Please be advised, only power units or trailers with a gross weight of 10,000 lbs, must be registered and appropriate fees paid.

Freight brokers and freight forwarders are also required to register and participate in this program.

It is not mandatory that a paid receipt is carried on board your power unit(s); however, we provide our clients with a receipt and advise you to place a photocopy of this receipt in each power unit registered.
